Recipe for Stress
The Three Deceivers by Richard M. Eyre says:
“The measure of our success and happiness lies not in controlling what happens, but in how we handle and respond to what happens. Constantly trying to control what can’t be controlled is a recipe for stress.”
We collide with things that are out of our control on a constant basis. We run into people that “throw off our grove” or our plans, so to speak. We never wake up knowing exactly what will happen to us or who we will see throughout the day. But we can wake up knowing who we are and how we will respond to different situation.
Be constant in who you are and how you treat people. Then you will be able to handle and respond to whatever or whoever comes your way.
Don’t stress yourself out by trying to control what can’t be controlled.

I have always taught that we are judged not by what happens to us but by how we respond to what happens to us. It has helped me against life’s stress.
